Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information submitted through the SIGNET website may be collected, used and protected.

About this policy

SIGNET Associates Nigeria Limited respects the privacy of people who visit this website or contact the company through it. This policy describes the current website and enquiry process; it does not describe unrelated company systems or services.

Information collected

The enquiry form requires a full name, email address, telephone number, enquiry type, subject and message. A visitor may also choose to provide a company or organisation and a project location.

The website may process limited request information needed to operate and protect the enquiry service. This includes security challenge data and a temporary rate limiting signal derived from network request information. The current rate limit is held in application memory and is not an enquiry database or a persistent history of visitor addresses.

How information is used

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

  • respond to and communicate about an enquiry;
  • understand potential project or business requirements;
  • manage tender, procurement or partnership discussions where relevant;
  • operate and protect the website and enquiry service; and
  • investigate technical problems, misuse or legal issues where necessary.

Depending on the circumstances, this processing may be necessary to respond to a request, take steps connected with possible business discussions, secure the website, or meet applicable legal obligations. The form does not enrol visitors in a newsletter or marketing list.

Email, storage and retention

Legitimate enquiries are transmitted to SIGNET by email. The current delivery architecture uses Amazon Simple Email Service, an Amazon Web Services service. Amazon Web Services and other providers supporting the website or company email may process limited information on SIGNET's behalf according to their systems and applicable arrangements.

The website does not currently maintain an application database of enquiries and does not provide enquiry lookup or customer accounts. Copies of an enquiry may nevertheless remain in SIGNET's email systems, and service providers may process or retain service and technical data.

Enquiry information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and manage the enquiry, maintain relevant business records, or meet legal and operational requirements. No fixed website retention period is stated because one has not been approved for every enquiry type.

Sharing information

SIGNET does not sell enquiry information to advertisers. Information may be shared where reasonably necessary with providers supporting website or email services, professional advisers where relevant, or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Website and form security

The website uses proportionate safeguards for the enquiry process. These include server validation, anti spam controls, temporary rate limiting, restricted email delivery and controlled configuration. The live website is intended to use encrypted HTTPS connections.

These measures reduce risk but cannot remove it completely. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Cookies and analytics

The current website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or behavioural tracking tools, and no analytics service is installed. A consent banner is therefore not currently required for those purposes.

Essential technical features may be introduced where necessary to operate or secure the website. This policy should be reviewed before any analytics, advertising or other non essential tracking technology is added.

International access and external links

The website can be accessed outside Nigeria. Website, email and service providers may process information in more than one jurisdiction depending on their infrastructure. SIGNET does not state that all information remains within Nigeria.

Links to external websites or social profiles may be provided for convenience. SIGNET does not control those services and is not responsible for their privacy practices. Visitors should review the information provided by the relevant external service.

Your choices

A person may contact SIGNET to ask how information they provided has been used, request correction of inaccurate details, or request deletion where appropriate and legally possible. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate operational, record keeping or legal reasons.

This is a corporate engineering website. Its enquiry service is intended for business and general enquiries and is not designed specifically to collect information from children.

Privacy contact

Questions about this policy or personal information submitted through the website may be sent to contact@signetngr.com. Please provide enough information for SIGNET to understand the request without including unnecessary sensitive information.
